ToolHound

Since 1985, ToolHound has been the standard in tool inventory management for companies in construction, maintenance, petrochemical, mining and more.

ToolHound came to us looking for a website that better reflected the industries and use cases their software supports. We set out to build a user-friendly experience that spoke directly to key verticals and made it easier for potential clients to understand how the platform fits their operations.

Identifying the Challenge

The key goals behind ToolHound’s new website were:

  • Introduce clearer messaging and visuals to help potential customers connect the software to real day-to-day use
  • Building dedicated pages tailored to key industries like construction, mining, oil and gas, and utilities
  • Organizing complex product information in a more user-friendly and accessible way
  • Developing a modern website structure that could support ongoing growth and content expansion
Previous Website

Aligning Product with Real-World Use

ToolHound’s previous website relied heavily on text and didn’t give visitors a clear visual understanding of the platform itself. We introduced custom graphics, interface visuals, and real screenshots from the software throughout the site to better demonstrate how the system works in practice. This helped create a more engaging experience while giving potential customers a clearer understanding of the platform’s capabilities before booking a demo.

Industry-Focused Pages

ToolHound’s use cases span multiple sectors, so we created dedicated pages for key industries including construction, mining, oil and gas, and utilities. Each page was shaped around the specific challenges and workflows of that sector, with relevant case studies included to build credibility and context. This helps visitors quickly understand how the platform applies to their environment and use case.

Simplifying Complex Product Information

ToolHound’s platform includes a wide range of features and functionality, so the focus was on presenting that information in a way that felt clear, structured, and easy to navigate. Dedicated product pages break the system into key areas, helping visitors better understand individual features and how they connect within the overall platform. This creates a more intuitive experience that avoids overwhelming users with too much information at once.

Building a Scalable Website Structure

The website was built in Webflow with long-term growth in mind, creating a structure that can easily support new content, features, and updates over time. This flexible foundation makes it straightforward to expand pages and add new sections as ToolHound continues to evolve, with our ongoing support helping ensure the site continues to perform and adapt as needed.
